Mission Statement

Cause for Alarm is primarily a do-it-yourself car security site focused around Hondas and Acuras. More than a simple car alarm install how-to, the goal is to implement a comprehensive car security setup making it impossible for a thief to bypass. I refer to this strategy of concealing and fool proofing the security as a stealth install.

The components that make up a stealth install include the following: a quality brand alarm installed and fully concealed, a battery backup, an array of sensors beyond the default shock sensor, a second siren, and an independent kill switch.

The Future of Cause For Alarm

This is a not-for-profit site. There are no banner ads, hitcounter, or any other means of generating revenue.

My plans for Cause for Alarm already cover version 8 which is a redesign based on the graphic design principles I'm learning in school, version 9 which will be the same design but a Milano Red DC Integra theme, and version 10 which will be a non-Honda / Acura based site. All versions 7 and above are to remain intact and fully independent of each other even though much of the content will repeated until version 10.
